My Collection of Ironstone

I am linking this post to Faded Charms White Wednesday. Be sure and go by and check out all the wonderful white post there today.

I love anything white especially dishes. I have 3 sets of white dinnerware. The top picture is one and my very favorite. This set is a J & G Meakin set from England. It was complete as shown. It even came with the matching teapot. I got this several years ago at an auction and paid $15.00 for it.  There were quite a few other dinnerware sets there and most people were more interested in the ornate designed sets, so I was able to get this white set for very little. The other photo shows my other odd pieces that I have picked up in thrift stores and yardsales. I love the graduated size pitchers. I am still looking for the larger size ones to complete the set. I love the simplicity of them. Thanks for stopping by!!!

  6. I must be a plain ol' vanilla kind of girl because all my dishes are white or cream or ironstone too. This is my lucky day. I have met three bloggers from Va. today. I was beginning to wonder if there were any Va. bloggers at all. Very excited. :) HWW

  8. What great white lovelies! White is so elegant, beautiful, timeless and simple. I have several sets of dishes, but the ones I use every day are the white ones that were Mister's before we married. Even though they are not microwave safe. (they are prior to microwave safe)
Thank you for your comment! I would love to see pictures of your house! What model is it?
