Sorry about the title, but that song popped into my head when I was placing the old seaside photo's in my coral and I cannot get it out of my head.
I love seashells and I really love coral. I did not realize how much I had until I started gathering it together for this blog post. I love the different textures and colors of shells and coral. Each piece is different just like our fingerprints. It amazes me when I think that with all the people in the world no 2 peoples prints are the same. Well it is the same with shells, no two are exactly alike. I am mostly attracted to ones that are different shades of white. I also like old black and white photo's with beach themes. Especially when they are of vintage swimsuits.
I am posting this to Faded Charm for White Wednesday , Paisley Passion for Thrilling Thursday and Cindy at My Romantic Home for Show and Tell Friday.
Just lovely...Brings back many memories for this fishermans daughter..

Can you imagine swimming in those suits? The coral is WAY beautiful, and the shell brings back memories of holding a big conch shell that my grandmother kept, to our ears as kids...to hear the ocean. Heading back to read more - Happy Thursday! Tanya
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful collection of coral and the photos are just perfect with them!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful vignette! I'd be singing the same song!
ReplyDeleteHi Sherry, I love me some white shells, too! Thank you so much for all your lovely comments at oneshabbychick. The birch veneer box you admired came from Smith & Hawken, one of my faves that is no longer with us {sniff}. It came with paperwhites to force and I have kept it ever since - I love it too! I am pleased to say that I am your 100th follower! :-) Good luck with the nasty weather and those deliveries... xo, osc
